Project details:
The YALM project, implemented in the village of Peremoha within the Makhnivka community from July 1 to 19, successfully equipped young people with the tools and knowledge necessary for active citizenship. Through six intensive workshops and meetings, participants delved into youth activism, civic engagement, local opportunities, project management, and its budgeting.
Impact on Participants
● Raised awareness of youth activism and rights:During COVID and the war, online opportunities and support shifted towards helping victims. YALM provided crucial information for Makhnivka youth.
● Increased youth participation:34 participants(including lastyear's) completed the Youth Academy of Leadership. According to the Youth Institute of Ukraine, youth makes up 24.3% of the population. In Makhnivka community with 8092 citizens, there are 1965 people aged 14-35.
● Empowered youth leadership:Participantsaretakinginitiative(joining opportunities, student council positions).
