Project details:

Known also as LNF Summer, the camp was a series of conferences designed to raise awareness among Congolese youth of the need to contribute to the sustainability of Kinshasa's environment, specifically by recycling plastic bottles.

This summer camp from August 7 to 11 raised awareness among young people aged 14 to 18 through film screenings, discussion debates, and creative workshops on the importance of contributing to recycling for a sustainable future for our generation.

Participants:

  • learned about "plastic" materials and their impact on the environment
  • Learn about the dangers of using plastic in our daily lives
  • Understood the vital role of sorting plastic waste, more specifically plastic bottles, and the need to recycle them.

Post-project comments:

Following the positive impact of the project, a collaboration to raise awareness among the youngest children will be organized in collaboration with the head of the Manyanga school complex.

What they said:

Now that I'm more aware of the dangers of plastic pollution, I'll be much more careful about my actions when I dispose of my garbage.
