How They Made A Difference
The project was successful and impacted a significant number of displaced women who saw their life taking a new path. We were able to meet all of them and exchange with them. New ideas were brought into the association’s Business strategies and management. Two refugee girls received scholarships to pursue their studies in a safe place.
The main goal of this project was primarily achieved:
- All 35 women benefited from the project and were trained for more advancement activities for their association such as how to make different types of soap. And how to condition them with the new package we offered them.
- We created more platforms for effective marketing promotion for the Association on Instagram and Facebook. Also, visit cards were made for potential customers.
- Two girls were given a full scholarship by the association for their 2023-2024 academic year.
How The Project Made A Difference for the Volunteers
We experienced some challenges throughout the whole project. Firstly we did not meet the number of scholarships we planned for five girls. Indeed with the idea of launching new products in the market, the association did not meet its break-even point. Secondly, We wish we had more budget to handle some needs presented by women in the association. For example, they have unfinished stores and training rooms. The construction just stopped because they didn’t have the means. Subsequently, there is a water shortage where the association is located. Unfortunately, we couldn’t solve that problem because of the budget. Again sadly, many refugee camps are around this area and all of them experience the same issue. We wish we could help more.
